On a mission

Surinder Sharma
Surinder Sharma, a resident of Deonar, is now being looked upon as a man on a mission. Sharma, who has been the Governor of the Lions Club (District 323 A2) in 2002-03, has set up the Lions Service Centre, a boys hostel at Ratandia (part of a rehabilitation project for Gujarat Earthquake victims), a girls hostel at Titwala and a multi-diagnostic and women welfare centre at Vashi.
Today, he is part of the project to renovate the Chembur crematorium, which has been a need of the hour. The crematorium is now being renovated and will be much better than what it was until now. “The first phase of the Charai Crematorium has already been completed and we have handed it over to the corporation,” he informs. Mohan Singh, a resident of Chembur, adds, “The work at the crematorium was something that everyone in Chembur wanted. This is a very good thing and the work done is commendable.”
Sharma has also set up a state of the art operation theatre for cataract surgeries at the Lions Medical Centre at Chembur.
Currently, he is the chairman of the Lions Service Fund District 323 A2, in and around Kopar Khairane.
Apart from handling his family owned textile unit and construction firm, this man is actively involved in the activities of the Chembur Gymkhana, for which he has served as the hon. general secretary for two terms, one between 1994-1996 and the other in 2004-2006.
When questioned regarding the gymkhana elections, he said, “I want to bring about a lot of changes in the gymkhana and am striving for it. If elected we shall work towards the betterment of the members. I have always worked for the benefit of the people and this time too I am committed towards working selflessly.”

Inspire Yourself!
Always try ur best to get whatever you love..
Otherwise you will be forced
To love whatever you get
A clay Pot Having Milk will be ranked higher
Then a Golden pot having Poison
It's not our outer Glamour
But our inner virtues that makes us valuable!
The purpose of relationship
Isn't to have somone who might complete you
But to have somone with whom
you can share yourself completely
An arrow can be shot only
By draging it backwards
So whenever life pulls you back
Dont worry
It's going to lead you to victory
Laugh like you have never cried
Play like you have never lost
Love lik you have never been hurt
Live like there is no Tommorrow!
The difference between
Successful person & others
Is not lack of strength
Not even lack of knowledge
But lack of will
Nothing can be changed by changing the face
But everything can be changed by facing the change!
So Go Ahead Life is Yours!

Ash - Abhi Wedding Coverage - Media Running out of NEWS

MEDIA are you reading this, if yes then write this down somewhere 'We Need NEWS..Not Bull Shit'. We understand 2 superstars are getting married. We know that it is the 'Beauty and the Best of the Lot' combination but this is no reason for all you news channels to just go on and on, on this topic. The worst is to say "BREAKING NEWS' and then show that Aishwarya will wear a red saree for the wedding. oh c'mon there are many other things .. rather real things happening in the world, that we all need to know.
It would be nice if you could do what your meant to do "Provide NEWS"
Is'nt that easy?

The rat Race
Daniel Burrus once said 'Focus on competition has always been a formula for mediocrity'. But it doesn't seem the case today. Nowadays cut throat competition prevails and all are in the so called 'rat race' to be on top.
Off late the publication industry has also joined the 'to be top-of-mind' competition. We leave our homes everyday to begin our journey and all we see around us are bill boards of top publication companies.
Cynical and witty sign boards are ways to attract the common man. Well, dont really know whether this has increased their readership but yes they surely are entertaining. :)
